A Miasm is the Defence mechanism occurs in the Cells of the Organism when any threat occurred from the Hostile forces .
The basic unit of Life is the Cell ; and it has 3 basic and definite functions namely Organisation , Reproduction and Defence mechanism to save the Organism from external morbific or hostile forces or agents etc .,
The cell defends itself in different Ways or Stages or Levels according to the situation to save the Organism .
Majorly we have two defences ; first one is Functional or Physiological defence ( Psoric ) , then second one is Structural or Morphological defence ; The Morphological defence is of two types - Constructive defence ( Sycosis ) and Destructive defence ( Syphilitic ) .
Constructive defence ( Sycosis ) is again of two types - first one is Over-construction and second one is Under-construction ; Usually , in the normal conditions the Cell divides or multiplies in the mitosis 1:2 ratio , but when the disturbance or breech in the reproduction that is when the Sycosis stage is in the process the cell divides by 1:4 or 1:6 or 1:8 or 1:10 etc ., due to its over functioning by the cells for protecting the organism in its defence , so the over-construction starts , then the accumulation , over-growths , tumours , proliferations , indurations etc will occur ; and this is called the SYCOSIS EXCESS . The examples for the Sycosis excess are like Obesity & Hyper-lipidemia - excess accumulation of fat ; Oedema - accumulation of water ; indurations - excess accumulation of fibrin ; Hyper-pigmentation - excess accumulation of Melanocytes ; Keloids - excess proliferation ; Kidney stones - accumulation of calcium oxalate crystals ; Warts , Corns , Skin tags ; Fibroids ; Atherosclerosis ; Hypertension , Diabetes - excess accumulation of sugar ; Leukaemia - excessive leucocytes ( when destruction starts it is Syphilitic ) etc .,
Physical constitution of Sycosis excess - Physically having large built with long and sturdy bones ; well developed & prominent Cheek bones with broad face ; Well developed bony prominences all over body with large nose .
And when the mitosis division is disturbed and the division is also changed from 1:2 to 1:1 then we call it as the SYCOSIS SHALLOW OR LESS . Here the normal size , structure or function of the Organs and the body will be reduced or shortened ; The examples for Sycosis shallow are like Dwarfishness ; Hypothyroidism ; Hypo-pigmentation ; Hypotension ; Atrophy of the Organs ; Tenia versicolor ; Relaxation of muscles & tendons due to less Elastin ; Hypo-lipidemia ; Hypoglycaemia ; Dilatations ; Laxity of muscles & tendons ; Prolapsed condition of any organ ; Ptosis ; Hernias ; Haemorrhoids ; Varicose veins ; Osteoporosis ( Calcium deficiency ) ; Anaemia ( Iron deficiency ) etc ., .
Physical constitution - Small & short built , Shortness of bones ; Sometimes under-developed organs with small & blunt nose . And with slowness in everything .
So constriction and relaxation ; overbuilt and under built are all Sycosis .
