MOSCHUS

MOSCHUS 
( Moschus moschiferus , L ) 
Common name : Musk deer . Moschus is nothing but the dried preputial secretion of the musk deer that abounds in the mountainous parts of Asia and Siberia ; It is a fatty , waxy , gelatinous , albuminous substance with a strong smell . It is first introduced by Dr. Hahnemann . It has a strong action over the Circulation of blood .
Hysterical and Nervous Persons ; Emotional and Intellectual . Raved , spoke low , as if afraid of disturbing some one , saying “ pst , pst , pst ” , then sighed deeply and played with the buttons of his waist-coat as if he would open and close it .
Anxiety ; and starting in fright and trembling if any one opened the door ; anxiety and great dread of death with palpitation - intense anguish as if he would die , and fell down in a faint . Said nothing but that she must die ; fretful and weeping mood . Excitement as from Wine , with rapid , full and soft Pulse . They are fickle minded and changeable ; She cries one moment and bursts out the next in an uncontrollable fit of laughter . Once angry she keeps up to it for a long time and in her rage keeps on scolding till her lips turn blue , eyes stare and she falls down in a long spell of fainting .
She is in a constant hurry , and lets things fall from her hands . Foolish gestures and complaints of pain . Fear of lying down lest she die . Sensation as if falling from a height , or as if rapidly turned around .

Trembling of whole body ; with general sticky sweat ; with bruised sensation and rapid pulse convulsions . Equilibrium lost ; Circulation accelerated . Diseases do not follow the normal course .
Pain over whole body with shivering ; weakness , nervous ; discomfort . Sweat smelling like musk .
Faintness ; Hysteria with , faints dead away from the least excitement , even from eating ( Asaf ., Nux-m ) or talking . Globus-hystericus ; frequently recurring Syncope . Death like weakness with intermittent pulse ; Coldness of the body . Everything points to a hysterical temperament , as if indeed is one of our principal remedies for that disease and also for Epilepsy ; Before and during such attack , the patient shudders as from a great chilliness .
Headache , aching deep in brain ; on violent motion , ascending steps << evening . The headaches are >> from becoming warm , and in the fresh air . Tension in back of head and nape . Pain as if a nail in Occiput , << in room >> in fresh air .
Vertigo ; on stooping >> rising , open air ; with sudden faintness ; with nausea and vomiting . Vertigo from slightest motion of head .
Suppression of menses with hysterical spasms , choking in throat , fainting . Dragging towards genitals as if menses would appear . Desire increased in both sexes ( even in the aged ) with tickling . In males painful emissions without erections .
Breathing oppressed ; She must take a deep breath . Weakness , felt more during rest than during motion . Parts upon which he lies seem sprained or broken . Sleeplessness of hysterical persons . Comatose sleepiness especially in forenoon .
Moschus is valuable for Hysterical complaints with Palpitation , Suffocative spasms in the chest , constriction of the throat ; Restlessness , great anxiety , particularly with belching and flatulent symptoms .
One Cheek red and cool , the other is Pale and hot . Sensation of coldness , general or in single parts . As if cold wind blowing on part .
DESIRES : Craves Beer or Brandy .
AVERSION : to Food , the sight of it makes her sick .
